Adeyiola Akinrinmade
Non-Executive Director
Adeyiola (Adeola) Akinrinmade Founder and CEO, Alpha One | Veritas Energies | Izon Energies Adeyiola Akinrinmade is an upstream oil and gas executive with over two decades of experience spanning asset operations, corporate finance, risk management, and strategy across Nigeria's energy sector. She is currently the Founder and CEO of Alpha One, Veritas Energies, and Izon Energies, all SPVs which operate in the upstream energy space. She is credited with the building and operational leadership of Petralon Energy, where she was the pioneer and founding staff member. As Executive Director, Board Member, and CFO, she had executive oversight of Finance, Strategy, IT, Risk, Legal, and HR/Admin, while also holding responsibility for Petralon's subsidiary operations in Europe and the Middle East. Alongside her corporate mandate, she served as Chief Operations Officer for Petralon's operated Dawes Island Field on PPL 259 in the Eastern Niger Delta. The field was non- producing when Petralon committed to it in 2014. Petralon 54 led investment into the field from 2014 before securing sole operatorship and a 100% working interest under PPL 259 in 2021. Adeyiola oversaw the full arc of the field's development: technical evaluations, regulatory positioning under the Petroleum Industry Act, the design and execution of the inaugural drilling programme, and the financial and governance structures that kept the project bankable through to production. The DI-2 well came onstream in October 2025 at 2,100 bopd, with zero lost-time incidents, achieving first oil on a field that had been dormant since its discovery in 1979. That milestone was the product of the strategy and structures she had built and sustained across the life of the asset. She exited Petralon in 2025, with the field now producing at approximately 4,800 bopd across two wells and Shell Western Supply and Trading confirmed as both crude offtaker and co-financer. Adeyiola’s earlier career was built at Afren Plc and First Hydrocarbon Nigeria, where she managed financial reporting, project accounting, and tax frameworks across producing assets including OML 26 and OML 30. At FHN, she supported a $147.5 million acquisition and structured financing arrangements that delivered a 550% capital gain for initial investors within three years. She also led the provision of Warranty and Indemnity Insurance for a $200 million acquisition and arranged upstream asset insurance coverage with transaction values of $250 million, working through the country and industry risk exposures specific to West Africa's upstream sector. Adeyiola is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and a licensed Human Resource Professional with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) amongst other qualifications; she also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and is an alumna of Harvard Business School. She is a featured speaker on industry platforms.
