Ports & Logistics Infrastructure

Port terminals and logistics parks that open Africa's coastlines to global trade.

Overview

We develop and operate port infrastructure: container terminals, logistics parks, and intermodal hubs, anchoring maritime trade and supply chain efficiency across Africa's coastlines. Port projects are typically large, complex, and government-backed, making them well-suited to KXT's lump-sum EPC delivery capability and EPC+F structuring.

Market Opportunity

African seaborne trade is growing at over 4% per year, consistently outpacing port capacity expansion. Congestion at Lagos, Mombasa, Alexandria, and Durban creates both a commercial problem and an investment opportunity. Inland logistics networks connecting ports to trade corridors are equally underdeveloped, with significant greenfield demand for warehousing, dry ports, and intermodal connections.

Ports & Logistics Infrastructure

Investment Focus

We target port concession agreements, container terminal development mandates, and integrated logistics park projects with defined throughput commitments and long-term operational frameworks. Where appropriate, we structure BOT or BOO arrangements that allow KXT to retain operational revenue streams post-commissioning.

Development and Execution

KXT's ports capability spans marine civil works, quay construction, terminal equipment procurement, and logistics facility design. We work directly with port authorities, shipping lines, and customs agencies to structure projects that meet international throughput and operational standards, and manage every phase from feasibility through handover or long-term operations.

Project Examples

  • Seaports & container terminals
  • Wharves, cranes & shipping channels
  • Warehousing & distribution parks
  • Intermodal hubs (rail/road connections)
