Overview
We operate across two converging telco markets: the decarbonisation of Africa's tower infrastructure, and the civil and power works required for 5G rollout. Tower companies across the continent are converting diesel-dependent sites to hybrid and solar systems at scale, while 5G expansion is creating sustained demand for new civil infrastructure and power solutions, both of which KXT is equipped to deliver.
Market Opportunity
Africa hosts over 170,000 telecom towers, the majority still running on diesel. Towercos are under commercial and regulatory pressure to transition to renewable hybrid systems, creating a large, repeatable, and commercially structured project pipeline. Simultaneously, 5G rollout across KXT's four core markets requires significant new civil works and reliable power infrastructure, a natural extension of KXT's energy and civil capabilities.
Investment Focus
We target towerco energy conversion programmes under multi-year framework agreements, giving us volume and revenue predictability. For data centres and fibre infrastructure, we focus on hyperscaler-anchored or carrier-grade assets with contracted tenancy and long-term revenue certainty. 5G civil and power works are structured as EPC contracts with the major telcos and tower operators.
Development and Execution
KXT delivers telco infrastructure through integrated civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering. For towerco conversions, we design and commission hybrid solar systems with battery storage and grid backup. For data centres, we combine power, cooling, and structural engineering with digital twin capability for long-term asset monitoring. Our procurement network covers both global OEMs and African sourcing, enabling competitive cost structures at scale.
