Cranfield's top 3, partnering to solve Africa's infrastructure challenges

In a confluence rare even by KXT Energy's standards, all three of the company's Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Financial Officer hold MBAs from Cranfield University, one of Europe's oldest and foremost postgraduate business schools, consistently ranked among the world's best for management education.

Andy Baker, KXT's Board Chairman, completed his MBA at Cranfield before leading billion-pound organisations across Africa for more than 25 years, including his role as Africa CEO at G4S overseeing 123,000 employees across 27 countries. He has served on more than 40 boards across Africa, Europe, Australia, and India.

Nnanna Anyanwu, KXT's CEO and Founder, earned his MBA from Cranfield graduating as Chevening and Odgers Scholar, before completing an AMP at Harvard Business School and an AGF at Hong Kong University. He has delivered and influenced more than US$12.5 billion in enterprise value across senior leadership roles in multinational corporations across APAC and EMEA.

Cheng Wong, KXT's CFO, earned her MBA from Cranfield graduating as the Henry Ford II scholar. She has offered customised investment advisory and corporate financial services to businesses, and has led M&As, Business Strategy, Analytics and Transformation initiatives for almost 3 decades.

"Cranfield grounds you in applicable strategy," said Andy Baker. "The rigour is designed for the real world, which in Africa means navigating ambiguity, building coalitions, and executing under genuine pressure."

According to Cheng, "Cranfield's strong emphasis on leadership forces you to rethink global challenges and develop innovative solutions which can reshape today's world and redefine the experience of future generations"

Nnanna Anyanwu added: "Andy, Cheng, and I share a conviction that rigorous management combined with genuine African experience is the formula for sustainable impact at scale. KXT is the expression of that formula."
