MBB Alumni reuniting to deliver infrastructure in Africa

KXT Energy's leadership team features a distinguished cohort of former McKinsey, BCG & Bain professionals who have stepped out of global consulting to build lasting infrastructure across Africa.

Nnanna Anyanwu, CEO and Founder of KXT Energy, served as Engagement Manager at McKinsey following earlier strategy work at The Boston Consulting Group and Shell. His consulting background equipped him with the analytical rigour and stakeholder management depth that now underpin KXT's integrated investment and EPC platform.

Susan Chen, Managing Director, New Trails Capital, and former COO and CGO of Jumia Nigeria, also served as Engagement Manager at McKinsey. Susan is currently a Non-Executive Director at KXT Energy, helping to shape its strategy for Sub Saharan Africa.

KXT's Chief Strategy Officer, Jude Uzonwanne, is a former Principal with Bain, and currently a growth strategist and investment adviser with deep transaction experience advising investors, C-suite executives, boards, and government ministers, bringing specialist expertise in commercial due diligence, M&A, and cross-sector investment strategy across life sciences, agriculture, shipping, and industrial value chains.

These leaders share the conviction that the highest application of elite analytical training is not perpetual consulting, but building the organisations that deliver tangible, lasting outcomes for communities and investors alike.

"The MBB approach, structured problem-solving, hypothesis-driven analysis, rigorous client focus, translates directly into infrastructure delivery," said Nnanna. According to Susan, "Africa's infrastructure challenge is not one of ambition. It is one of execution. While Jude is fully convinced “Solving complex infrastructure and investment challenges like this is precisely what the MBB background prepares you for."
