1 September 2026

KXT Energy has appointed Danbello Sani Na'adiyalle as Non-Executive Director to its Nigeria Board, bringing 35 years of corporate legal and governance experience across the country's oil and gas sector.
Danbello spent 33 years at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (1987–2019), holding roles including Head, Litigation Unit; Deputy Chief, Commercial Law Department; Technical Assistant to the Secretary to the Corporation & Legal Adviser; Manager, Board and Management Committee; and General Counsel of the West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited, a joint venture between NNPC, Chevron, Shell, VRA Ghana, Sotogaz Togo, and Société Béninoise de Gaz. He was later promoted to Group General Manager and appointed Managing Director, NNPC Pension Fund Limited, a position he held until his statutory retirement in 2019.
He is currently a Partner at Alliance Law Firm, with earlier experience as in-house legal counsel at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc. His practice spans oil and gas, and corporate and commercial law.
Danbello holds an LL.B (Hons) from Ahmadu Bello University and a BL from the Nigerian Law School, and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association. He received a Presidential Recognition for his role in structuring a multi-billion dollar funding arrangement for Nigeria LNG Limited Trains 1 and 2, alongside the GMD, NNPC Merit Award. His executive education includes leadership and finance programmes at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard Business School.
"Danbello's three decades inside NNPC, spanning litigation, commercial law, and pension fund management, give our Nigeria Board a depth of institutional knowledge that is hard to find outside the corporation itself," said Nnanna Anyanwu, CEO of KXT Energy. "That perspective is directly relevant as we scale our project pipeline across the country."
Andy Baker, KXT's Global Board Chairman, added: "As KXT's Nigeria operations grow, the governance and legal rigour Danbello brings, forged over three decades at the heart of the country's energy sector, is exactly what a board at this stage needs."
