Oscar Mdluli appointed Non-Executive Director at KXT Energy

KXT Energy has appointed Oscar Mdluli as Non-Executive Director, adding more than 32 years of senior energy sector experience spanning electricity, oil and gas across South Africa, broader Africa, and Latin America.

Oscar brings deep board-relevant capability in strategy, business development, stakeholder engagement, asset commercialisation, market expansion, and executive leadership. His career has included General Manager: Business Development at Eskom Enterprises, Managing Director of Eskom Enterprises West Africa, Business Development Executive at PetroSA, CEO of Encha Energy, and VP: Market Development Africa at Indra Technology.

He currently leads Stakeholder Relations – Energy Mega Projects at Sasol, leading stakeholder engagement on green hydrogen, renewable energy, and related strategic energy initiatives. He has established strategic relationships with government departments across South Africa and several other African countries, as well as with utilities and funding institutions.

Oscar holds a Bachelor of Technology in Business and Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Northampton, UK, and a Diploma in Business Administration from Leicester University. His executive education includes programmes at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and the University of the Witwatersrand.
